Melanie is a health and well-being thought leader with over 25 years in organizational leadership and health promotion who thrives on integrating the science of well-being, learning and development principles, positive psychology research, and other evidence-based strategies to create an employee experience that inspires and empowers employees to flourish personally and professionally. Melanie has served in a variety of industries including healthcare, education, and technology. Most recently Melanie operationalized research from the Blue Zones, where people live long, healthy lives for Adventist Health, a faith-based health system with over 30,000 associates across 23 hospitals in California, Oregon, Washington, and Hawaii with a focus on environmental changes, positive social connections, healthy habits, employee engagement, and alignment with organizational priorities.
As a Blue Zones expert and the VP of Organizational Transformations, Melanie was also responsible for operational oversight and customer relationships in delivering comprehensive multi-year well-being strategies that leveraged the longevity research of the Blue Zones, including the Blue Zones Workforce Solutions portfolio and Blue Zones Challenge initiatives, with employers across the country.
