Lucas Mendes founder, owner & chief creative of newly formed club Virginia Dream F.C. was named the 2015-16 Gatorade National High School Soccer Player of the Year before committing to play for the University of Virginia. He would play at Virginia for one lone season and then embark on his professional career. Mendes played for the New York Cosmos, Richmond Kickers, and The United States Arena National Team.
